I wasn’t aware that iCal could group calendars (for showing/hiding with a single click) until I read read this post at Merlin Mann’s 43folders site.
Towards the end of that post, he describes the how and why of grouping calendars. His setup is with kGTD, but you can set up subscriptions to Tracks iCal feeds and organize them the same way (with the caveat that, unlike with kGTD, you’ll have to return to Tracks in the browser to mark anything as completed).
I find this method easier to quickly customize my NA lists than expanding or collapsing the relevant contexts on my Tracks home page. For example, if I am not going to be at my computer, I can uncheck the “GTD-Computer” group, which instantly hides all Actions in my @emails, @web, and @offline contexts.
I suspect as the Tracks design develops, I may return to it as my exclusive interface, but for now Merlin’s iCal tip serves me well.
